An Author's Tradition -- Susanna Carr

I didn't think I had any writing traditions until I recently changed my computer wallpaper. This is the image I'm using:

It's the French edition of Pink Ice that comes out this month in Europe.

And while it might seem strange, I like changing my wallpaper whenever I get new cover art. It doesn't matter if it's for the first edition, reprint or foreign translation. I've even been known to upload cover art in progress. And what if I'm not thrilled with the cover? Fortunately, that happens very rarely, and the image still becomes my wallpaper until I get another cover art. (And if I don't get used to the artwork, it serves as motivation to write something else so I can get a new cover!)

So what about you? What is the wallpaper on your computer right now?

At the moment we have High-5 wallpaper on the computer thanks to my 3 year old grandson and more often than not the wallpaper we have is all about the grandkids whether it be photos of them or something that we have down loaded for them.
I like your idea of wallpaper very much I would love to have some of my favourite covers from books that I have read.

Have Fun

I first got this computer (a laptop) when I was in a panic because my other one crashed and I needed it for work. I never realized I hadn't changed the wallpaper until I read this post!

I usually play around with the wallpaper quite a bit, but I guess I've been busy. I just set it to a photo I took of a bird of paradise. Who knows when I'll decide to change it...

We love eagles! All four of our children went to a high school whose
mascot is the eagle and I put in
17 years of volunteer time at the
school. So I have pictures of many eagles!

I have the Night Owl Romance Paranormal screensaver on my computer right now. I love it. I do change it every once in awhile and put an authors screen saver that they have for their readers to download of their book covers, etc.

Hi Susanna,

Happy New Year! Cool thing to have for your wallpaper! What a novel idea!

My wallpaper is a picture of a tropical island with water all around it. Love the ocean and sunshine. It has such a calming affect.

I don't have anything special on my wallpaper but that reminds me that I should put a picture up this week.

I love lighthouses, especially any Michigan lighthouse. Right now, I have a photo of the Eagle Harbor, MI lighthouse taken in a snowstorm with the light glowing red. Great shot. When I'm not using lighthouses, I like to decorate my desktop with pictures of Alex O'Loughlin, my favorite vampire hottie from the cancelled CBS program 'Moonlight'.

My laptop is fairly new so I'm just using one of the samples pics that came with it. It's a picture of a forest wih a path through it. it's actually quite soothing.
